Terms and Conditions

JD Supply Inc. — Terms & Conditions

By purchasing or renting items from JD Supply Inc., you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your transaction.

Section A: Terms for Purchased (Non-Rented) Items

1. Payment Terms

Full payment is required before any purchased item may be removed from the premises. Taxes (GST/HST) are included in all pricing.

JD Supply Inc. accepts the following payment methods: Cash and E-Transfer.

2. Item Condition

All items are sold “as-is” and may be used or refurbished.

JD Supply Inc. provides accurate descriptions to the best of our ability and discloses known issues.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect items prior to purchase.

3. Warranty, Exchanges & Refunds

Standard 15-Day Warranty

JD Supply Inc. provides a 15-day limited warranty on most purchased items.

Warranty Coverage Includes:

Exchange for an item of equal value if the purchased item is found to be non-functional.

Warranty Conditions:

The issue must be reported within 15 days of purchase.

The item must be returned in the same condition as purchased.


Warranty is void if the item shows signs of:

• Damage
• Misuse or improper handling
• Freezing damage
• Alterations or modifications
• Unauthorized repair attempts


Warranty Exclusions

The 15-day warranty does NOT apply to the following items:

• Vacuums
• Electric motor or Gas/diesel/other engine powered equipment, vehicles and tools

These items are sold without warranty due to the nature of their use and maintenance requirements.

Commercial Restaurant Equipment Warranty

Commercial restaurant equipment sold by JD Supply Inc. includes a 15-day limited labor warranty unless otherwise stated in writing.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers labor required to diagnose mechanical or functional issues resulting from normal operation of the equipment.

The warranty does not include the cost of parts unless otherwise stated in writing by JD Supply Inc.

Equipment must be returned to JD Supply Inc. for warranty service unless otherwise negotiated or agreed to in writing.

Installation Requirements

Commercial restaurant equipment must be installed correctly before operation.

Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician, authorized installer, or JD Supply Inc., adhering specifically to manufacturer specifications and all applicable local code requirements.

Failure to properly install and set up the equipment voids the warranty.

Water Filtration Requirement (For Water-Fed Equipment)

Any commercial restaurant equipment that uses a direct water connection must be connected to a proper water filtration system.

Failure to install and maintain proper water filtration voids the warranty.

JD Supply Inc. is not responsible for damage caused by poor water quality or lack of filtration.

Photo proof of a properly installed water filtration system must be submitted to JD Supply Inc. for any warranty to be valid.

Water Quality Requirement

Water-fed equipment must operate with proper water quality meeting manufacturer specifications, including acceptable hardness and mineral content.

Damage caused by improper water quality, untreated water, or mineral imbalance is not covered under warranty.

Scale & Mineral Buildup

The warranty does not cover damage caused by scale buildup, mineral deposits, or lack of proper water filtration.

Scale buildup is considered routine maintenance and not a mechanical failure.

Equipment showing signs of excessive scale, mineral buildup, or lack of filtration maintenance will not be covered under warranty.

Wearable Parts Exclusion

The warranty does not cover wearable or consumable parts, including but not limited to:

• Motors
• Seals and gaskets
• Heating elements
• Filters
• Thermostats
• Igniters
• Knobs and switches
• O-rings
• Belts
• Routine maintenance components

These parts require regular service and replacement during normal operation.

Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty becomes void if the equipment shows signs of:

• Misuse or improper operation
• Lack of maintenance or cleaning
• Lack of proper water filtration (where applicable)
• Freezing damage
• Improper installation
• Unauthorized repair attempts
• Modifications or alterations to the equipment

Pre-Existing Condition Clause

All commercial restaurant equipment sold by JD Supply Inc. is inspected, serviced, and tested prior to sale whenever possible.

Warranty claims must relate to new mechanical failures occurring during the warranty period.

The warranty does not cover pre-existing conditions that would have been identifiable during inspection or normal operation at the time of purchase.

Commercial Espresso Machine Warranty

Commercial espresso machines sold by JD Supply Inc. include a 6-month limited labor warranty.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers labor required to diagnose and repair mechanical or functional issues resulting from normal operation of the machine.

The warranty does not include the cost of parts unless otherwise stated in writing by JD Supply Inc.

Machines must be returned to JD Supply Inc. for warranty service unless otherwise negotiated or agreed to in writing.

Installation Requirements

Commercial espresso machines must be installed correctly before operation, including installation of a proper water filtration system / water filter kit.

Commercial espresso machines must be installed by a licensed electrician, authorized installer, or JD Supply Inc., adhering specifically to manufacturer specifications and all applicable local code requirements.

Failure to properly install and set up the machine voids the warranty.

Water Filtration Requirement

The machine must be connected to a water filtration system at all times during operation.

Failure to install and maintain proper water filtration voids the warranty.

JD Supply Inc. is not responsible for damage caused by poor water quality or lack of filtration.

Photo proof of a properly installed water filtration system must be submitted to JD Supply Inc. for any warranty to be valid.

Scale & Mineral Buildup

The warranty does not cover damage caused by scale buildup, mineral deposits, or improper water filtration.

Scale buildup is considered routine maintenance and not a mechanical failure.

Wearable Parts Exclusion

The warranty does not cover wearable or consumable parts, including but not limited to:

• Motors
• Seals and gaskets
• Shower screens
• Portafilter baskets
• Steam wand components
• O-rings
• Group head components
• Boiler defects
• Routine maintenance components

Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty becomes void if the machine shows signs of:

• Misuse or improper operation
• Lack of maintenance or cleaning
• Lack of proper water filtration
• Freezing damage
• Improper installation
• Unauthorized repair attempts
• Modifications or alterations to the machine

4. Liability & Ownership

Once payment is completed and the item leaves JD Supply Inc. property, the buyer assumes full responsibility.

JD Supply Inc. is not liable for any damage, loss, malfunction, injury, or operational issues that occur after the item is in the buyer’s possession.

5. Final Sale

All sales are final, except for exchanges covered under the 15-day warranty or refunds explicitly approved by JD Supply Inc. management.

Section B: Terms for Rented Items

1. Payment Terms

Full rental payment and the required security deposit must be paid in full before any rental item is removed from JD Supply Inc. property.
Accepted payment methods: E-transfer and Cash.

2. Deposits

All security deposits are non-refundable, including in cases of early return or cancellation.

Deposits may be withheld partially or fully in cases involving:

• Late returns
• Damage, loss, or theft
• Failure to comply with rental terms

Any remaining deposit balance will be refunded only after the returned item has passed inspection.

3. Item Condition & Usage

All rented items are provided in working condition.

Items must be returned in the same condition as received.

Renters are responsible for damage, loss, or excessive wear.

Proper handling, transportation, and usage are the sole responsibility of the renter.

4. Rental Period & Late Returns

Items must be returned by the agreed date and time.

Late returns will incur daily late fees. Excessive lateness may result in:

• Full forfeiture of the security deposit
• Additional charges

Rental extensions must be requested in advance and approved in writing.

5. Liability

JD Supply Inc. is not responsible for any damages, injuries, losses, or operational issues arising from the use or misuse of rented equipment.

The renter agrees to indemnify JD Supply Inc. against any claims related to the rental item’s use.

6. Identification & Records

A valid government-issued ID and current contact information are required for all rentals.

By proceeding with a rental, you authorize JD Supply Inc. to retain this information for the duration of the agreement.

Section C: General Terms

1. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Purchases and rentals cannot be canceled after payment has been processed.

Refunds are not offered unless specifically approved in writing by JD Supply Inc.

For purchased items found to be defective, an exchange may be offered under the applicable warranty terms.

Store credit may be offered at JD Supply Inc.’s discretion but is not guaranteed.

2. Right to Refuse Service

JD Supply Inc. reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, particularly in cases involving:

• Prior disputes
• Suspicious or aggressive behavior
• Violation of store policies

3. Agreement Acknowledgment

By completing payment, signing any transaction document, or removing items from the property, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all applicable Terms & Conditions outlined above.
