Terms and Conditions

JD Supply Inc. — Terms & Conditions

By purchasing or renting items from JD Supply Inc., you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your transaction.


Section A: Terms for Purchased (Non-Rented) Items

1. Payment Terms

Full payment is required before any purchased item may be removed from the premises.
Taxes (GST/HST) are included in all pricing.

JD Supply Inc. accepts the following payment methods:

  • Cash 
  • E-Transfer 


2. Item Condition

All items are sold “as-is” and may be used or refurbished.

JD Supply Inc. provides accurate descriptions to the best of our ability and discloses known issues.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect items prior to purchase.


3. Warranty, Exchanges & Refunds

Standard 15-Day Warranty

JD Supply Inc. provides a 15-day limited warranty on most purchased items.


Warranty Coverage Includes:

  • Exchange for an item of equal value if the purchased item is found to be non-functional 

Warranty Conditions:

  • The issue must be reported within 15 days of purchase 
  • The item must be returned in the same condition as purchased 

Warranty is void if the item shows signs of:

  • Damage 
  • Misuse or improper handling 
  • Freezing damage 
  • Alterations or modifications 
  • Unauthorized repair attempts 

Warranty Exclusions

The 15-day warranty does NOT apply to the following items:

  • Vacuums 
  • Electric motor or gas/diesel/other engine powered equipment, vehicles, and tools 

These items are sold without warranty due to the nature of their use and maintenance requirements.


Commercial Restaurant Equipment Warranty

Commercial restaurant equipment sold by JD Supply Inc. includes a 15-day limited labor warranty unless otherwise stated in writing.

Warranty Coverage:
This warranty covers labor required to diagnose mechanical or functional issues resulting from normal operation.

The warranty does not include the cost of parts unless otherwise stated in writing.

Equipment must be returned to JD Supply Inc. for warranty service unless otherwise agreed in writing.


Installation Requirements

Commercial restaurant equipment must be installed correctly before operation.

Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician, authorized installer, or JD Supply Inc., adhering to manufacturer specifications and local code requirements.

Failure to properly install and set up the equipment voids the warranty.


Water Filtration Requirement (For Water-Fed Equipment)

All water-fed equipment must be connected to a proper water filtration system.

Failure to install and maintain proper filtration voids the warranty.

Photo proof of a properly installed filtration system must be submitted for any warranty claim.


Water Quality Requirement

Equipment must operate within proper water quality specifications.

Damage caused by poor water quality or untreated water is not covered.


Scale & Mineral Buildup

Scale buildup is considered routine maintenance and is not covered under warranty.


Wearable Parts Exclusion

The warranty does not cover wearable or consumable parts, including but not limited to:

  • Motors 
  • Seals and gaskets 
  • Heating elements 
  • Filters 
  • Thermostats 
  • Igniters 
  • Knobs and switches 
  • O-rings 
  • Belts 


Warranty Void Conditions

Warranty is void if equipment shows signs of:

  • Misuse 
  • Lack of maintenance 
  • Improper installation 
  • Lack of filtration 
  • Freezing damage 
  • Unauthorized repairs 
  • Modifications 


Pre-Existing Condition Clause

Warranty applies only to new failures occurring after purchase.

Pre-existing issues identifiable at time of purchase are not covered.


Commercial Espresso Machine Warranty

Commercial espresso machines include a 6-month limited labor warranty.

  • Labor only (parts not included unless agreed) 
  • Must be returned to JD Supply Inc. 

Requirements include:

  • Proper installation 
  • Licensed installer 
  • Mandatory water filtration with proof 
  • Compliance with manufacturer specs 


Exclusions (Espresso Machines)

  • Scale buildup 
  • Wearable parts (including motors, seals, group components) 
  • Boiler defects 


4. Liability & Ownership

Once payment is completed and the item leaves JD Supply Inc., the buyer assumes full responsibility.

JD Supply Inc. is not liable for any damage, loss, injury, or malfunction after the item is in the buyer’s possession.


5. Final Sale

All sales are final, except for exchanges under warranty or refunds approved by JD Supply Inc.


Section B: Terms for Rented Items

1. Payment Terms

Full payment and security deposit are required before rental.

Accepted methods:

  • Cash 
  • E-transfer


2. Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable.

May be withheld for:

  • Damage 
  • Late returns 
  • Loss/theft 


3. Item Condition & Usage

Items must be returned in the same condition.

Renter is fully responsible for use, handling, and transport.


4. Rental Period & Late Returns

Late returns incur fees and may result in forfeiture of deposit.


5. Liability

JD Supply Inc. is not responsible for damages or injuries related to rented equipment.


6. Identification & Records

Valid ID required. JD Supply Inc. may retain records.


Section C: General Terms

1. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Purchases and rentals cannot be canceled after payment.

Refunds are not offered unless approved in writing.

Store credit may be offered at JD Supply Inc.’s discretion.


2. Restocking Fees

All returns approved by JD Supply Inc. may be subject to a restocking fee.

  • A minimum restocking fee of $50 applies to items weighing under 50 lbs 
  • Items over 50 lbs are subject to restocking fees based on weight, size, and difficulty of handling 

Restocking fees cover:

  • Cleaning and preparation 
  • Handling and transportation 
  • Testing and inspection 
  • Relisting and administrative costs 

Restocking fees are deducted from any approved refund or store credit at the discretion of JD Supply Inc.


3. Right to Refuse Service

JD Supply Inc. reserves the right to refuse service in cases of:

  • Prior disputes 
  • Aggressive behavior 
  • Policy violations 


4. Agreement Acknowledgment

By completing a transaction, you confirm that you have read and agreed to all Terms & Conditions.
